ROCKDALE COUNTY – On January 8, 2025, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office responded to a person not breathing call. Upon arrival, officers discovered the individual was a 1-year-old child. Despite Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attempts to resuscitate the child, the child was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Based on the information obtained from the investigation, the mother of the child, identified as Gloria Wright, is now wanted for Murder in the First Degree (Felony) and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree (Felony).
This is an ongoing investigation, and the information provided is preliminary and may change.
Authorities are actively searching for Gloria Wright, a 23-year-old Black female, and are requesting public assistance in locating her. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact Investigator G. Levett with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
