ROCKDALE COUNTY – On Sunday, July 14th, at approximately 1:29 PM, Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of a woman screaming and gunshots fired on Griffin Mountain TRL. Upon arrival, deputies found a deceased woman lying in the driveway. A suspect in connection with this incident is currently in custody at the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
The names of the victim and the suspect are currently being withheld until notification of next of kin.
The investigation is still active and ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
