ROCKDALE COUNTY – On November 12, 2024, The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) were dispatched to a person shot call at approximately 6:45 AM in the area of HWY 20 SE and Kay Terrace. Upon arrival deputies located a 30-year-old female and three children. However, Mr. Elmore, the person who sustained the gunshot wound was not present.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident began as an argument while the 30-year-old female and Mr. Elmore were both traveling in a vehicle heading out of Rockdale County. The argument escalated and turned physical when the Mr. Elmore exited the car and attacked the female. During the altercation the 30-year-old female was able to get her gun and shoot Mr. Elmore. After sustaining a gunshot wound, Mr. Elmore fled the scene in the vehicle leaving the 30-year-old female and three children on the side of the road.
Using resources and technology, the RCSO deputies were able to track Mr. Elmore to his mother’s house in Ellenwood. Once apprehended and in custody, Mr. Elmore was transported to Grady Hospital. He is currently in RCSO custody.
