Multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20
ROCKDALE COUNTY – On April 27, 2024, at approximately 11:59 PM, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20. According to the preliminary investigation, a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Interstate 20 before the Salem Road exit, when it rear-ended the vehicle ahead of it. Tragically, two individuals who were traveling on the motorcycle lost their lives as a result of the accident.
The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigators are diligently working to complete the investigation.
Sheriff Eric J. Levett would like to extend his condolences to the family members of the victims who lost their lives as well as all individuals on Interstate 20 that witnessed this accident.
