Open Records Request
The Georgia Freedom of Information Act allows public agencies to release information, with some exceptions, regarding their activities. As a public agency, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office will be pleased to assist in locating and providing any information maintained by the Sheriff’s Office.
Request a Copy of an Incident / Accident Report
The Records Unit maintains all incident, accident, arrest and jailing records for the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office. To obtain copies of documents, contact the Records Unit. The Records Unit is open Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, except on county holidays.
Any party directly involved in the incident and / or accident may receive a copy of the report at no charge. To request a report, contact the Records Unit. All other parties should submit a Request to Inspect Records Form (**Link to form) to the Records Unit.
Request to Inspect Records Form are available at the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office or may be printed by clicking on this LINK and then emailed, faxed, mailed, or hand delivered to the Sheriff’s Office.
A Statement of Need Form is required to be completed by anyone requesting a Georgia Motor Vehicle Accident Report who is NOT named in the report. The Statement of Need must be completed and returned to the Records Unit before a Motor Vehicle Accident Report will be released to any person / entity not named in the report.
911 Recordings and City of Conyers Police Reports

Police reports generated by the City of Conyers Police Department must be obtained by Conyers Police Department, who can be reached at 770 483 6600.
